Profi Employability Skills Programme

To Develop Young People’s Employability Skills’

We aim:

  • To develop young people’s employability skills and increase their confidence in the work place;
  • To increase the awareness of the Welsh Language in the workplace;
  • To strengthen local organisations’ capacity;
  • To support local regeneration through encouraging local spend

Year One:

  • 342 year 12 pupils have registered for support
  • 459 pupils have attended Welsh Language Awareness Sessions
  • 137 pupils received support to create a CV
  • 312 pupils have benefited from mentoring support
  • 231 pupils attended a work experience placement
  • 98 pupils secured part time work
  • 24 businesses | organisations have been recruited to offer a reward to young people

Big Lottery People and Places:

A bid to the Big Lottery fund People and Places fund to support the employability skills of 750 young people has been successful and commenced in January 2017 and will develop over three years.
